In the "The Great Gatsby" Carraway serves as the narrator and he discusses his memories of a summer in the 20's to the audience. He even includes events that led up to him being pushed to wallow in the extravagant lifestyle his peers took on during the time. By retelling the luxurious lives his neighbors, Jay Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan, and Tom Buchanan.
