In chapter seven, Gatsby's house is no longer a party house, his party's come to an end. Carraway learns that Gatsby ended the parties because he no longer needed them to attract Daisy. On the hottest day of the summer, Daisy invited Carraway and Gatsby to lunch with her, Tom, and Jordan. At one point, while Tom is out of the room, Gatsby and Daisy kiss on the lips and she says she loves him. But then Daisy's daughter Pammy showed up and Daisy basically ignores the child, but Gatsby keeps glancing at this girl in surprise.
At one point Daisy asks what they should do with the rest of the day and the next thirty years of their lives. She cries out that she wants them all to go to the city. Daisy and Gatsby lock eyes, and Daisy comments that Gatsby always looks like an advertisement. Tom can see in Daisy's eyes that daisy and Gatsby are in love. Tom, Nick, and Jordan ride together in Gatsby's car and stop at Wilson's to get gas. They find out that the Wilson are moving because Mr.Wilson knows about his wife's affair.
Daisy ends up leaving with in Tom's car with Gatsby. On the way back, Daisy runs over and kills Mrs.Wilson. They do not stop though they just keep driving away. Tom is very upset to find out that his mistress has been killed. Carraway speaks with Gatsby outside of Tom's home, telling him about Myrtle's death.
